Antique Pier Mirror in gold leaf

Antique Pier mirror.At just over eight feet talll this "Pier mirror" is an impressive size. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The gilt surface finish appears to be of metal-leaf rather than gold-leaf. I believe the mirror and stand have wood frames with plaster molding. The open-carved foliate scrolls are probably built of heavy wire with plaster molding. This wood-plaster-wire construction method is what was typically used at that time

Curved top mahogany mirror. This curved top mirror measures 72" tall and 58" wide. The frame is 5.5" wide and just under 4" deep. The wood is dark, carved, and extremely heavy.C1850

18th Century Venetian wall mirror in gold leaf

18th Century Venetian wall mirror in gold leaf. This period 18th century "Venetian wall mirror" retains its original aged gold leaf. There is some small missing pieces here and there (which is to be expected from a period mirror) but other wise it is in great condition. This Venetian wall mirror retains original plate glass. The frame measures 51 inches long overall,28 and one half inches across the base and 34 inches across the top carvings. The mirror itself measures 33 inches wide by 25 and one half inches.

English Georgian dresser mirror in tiger maple c1800

English Georgian dresser mirror in tiger maple c1800. This simply is the best period English dressing mirror we have ever had the good fortune to come by. The serpentine front has banded inlay all around and so do the three drawers. Made from tiger maple and satin wood. The harps are graduated and inlaid with satin wood and end in their original period hand turned ivory finials. The three drawers have large finely done hand cut dovetails. This Georgian dressing mirror measures 20 and three quarters inches wide,9 inches deep and 26 and one half inches high. Excellent original condition including its hardware and finish.

Early 19thC Venetian wall mirrors with cherubs. This is a true pair of early antique Venetian wall mirrors in very good original condition. Each mirror measures 17 inches high by 11 inches wide. The inset mirrors each measure 8 and three quarters inches by 3 and one half inches. The mirrors are each made from hand carved wood with old gold leaf. This pair is a decorators' delight having just the right look. Just in from an Old Lyme Estate.
